Born in 1972 in Bucharest, Romania, Ileana Dumitri lives and works in New Haven, CT. Dumitriu earned her Master inArchitecture at UAIM and Baccalaureate College of Arts”N. Tonitza”, Bucharest, Romania, were she Works as an architect. She is currently the associate architect at PelliClarke Pelli Architects. Recent work includes a permanent installation in the lobby of the canopy by Hilton Hotel in North Bethesda, MD and various works in private collections. Her work has been exhibited at Lotta Studio, New Haven, CT, Mail Art Exhibition:“Before and After”, and Nasty Women of ConnecticutFeminist Art, 3rd Edition; Complicit: Erasure of the Body-“Ebbing”, 24”x36”, collage, mixed media. She has also exhibited at Artspace Gallery, New Haven, CT, New HavenOpen Studios, Erector Square, New Haven, CT and Ileana’s work is currently exhibited at Spectrum gallery in Centerbrook, Connecticut
