Working with small brushes and numerous thin layers, Lillian Forziat’s oil paintings embrace a gentle juxtaposition of realism and impressionism. She concentrates on capturing the beauty of everyday subjects in her still-life canvasses, and tranquil vistas in her landscapes and seascapes. With a style reminiscent of more traditional artists, her paintings strive to capture the subtle essences of both living subjects and human-fabricated objects in quiescent settings.

A self-taught fine artist, her work has been exhibited in many juried fine art exhibitions at the National Arts Club and the Salmagundi Club in Manhattan, in national juried exhibitions (Oil Painters of America, American Women Artists, National Oil & Acrylic Painters, Society, Allied Artists of America, Audubon Artists, the Salmagundi Club, the American Artists Professional League, and the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club), as well as numerous juried fine art festivals in Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Virginia.

A graduate of the State University of New York at Farmingdale with a degree in Advertising Art and Design, Lillian is a Charter Member of The National Museum of
Women in the Arts. She is a Board Member of the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club (CLWAC), a Fellow Member of the American Artists Professional League (AAPL), an Associate Member of the Oil Painters of America (OPA). She has memberships in the National Oil and Acrylics Painters’ Society (NOAPS), the Art League of Nassau County (NY), the Rehoboth Art League (DE), and is a member of the Executive Board of the Floral Park Art League (FPAL) in New York.

Her paintings have received numerous accolades in exhibitions and fine art festivals, and they are included in many private collections throughout the United States and the United Kingdom.
