Colleen was born and educated in upstate New York and relocated to CT in the late 1970′s. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and works full time in the CT public school system. Her diverse career experiences which include pharmaceutical sales, retail management and marketing, mirror her eclectic artistic endeavors. Her career in education allows weekends and summers free, to paint and participates in art shows and festivals.

Colleen was one of a collection of artists represented in Artists of East Haddam, a book released in the spring of 2010. Her biography and several of her floor cloths were featured. Her mixed media painting “Summer Adirondacks” was on the cover of the ‘itowns’ insert for The Hartford Courant in August 2010. She is the recipient of the ArtMajeur International Silver Award for 2009, 2010, and 2012. She served as a board member for the CT River Artisans and exhibited her work there for 3 years. Colleen is a self-taught artist with a whimsical nature which keeps her from taking herself too seriously. Color ignites the initial idea, which the design then follows.
