Linda’s work portrays the dreams and reality of life through color, and images both real and imagined. Linda uses nature.. the solid structure of rock formations, the forcefulness and tranquility of water and the ever-changing light and motion of all living things …to explore our feelings about what we see. While she works in both acrylic and oil many of her abstracts use a combination of mediums; an acrylic base of color and motion and a clear polymer medium overlay to create form, then Linda finishes the piece with oil outlining the form and completing the statement.
Linda has recently been working on large abstracts in acrylic. She enjoys variety so her style changes from very realistic, to impressionist to abstraction and back to reality again. She hopes that her art evokes a feeling, a memory, a determination or encouragement and brings you peace.
