Kimberly B Edwards is an emerging artist residing in the Connecticut River Valley region in East Haddam, with her husband and two dogs, where they enjoy the beauty of the river, the airport, the old steam train, and the charm of town. A neuropsychologist, she is fascinated with human perception , both in the process of making art and in viewing it. Her works are primarily in pastel and oil, often evocative images of figures and nature, but she also incorporates themes related to her passions as a private pilot and a former competitive track cyclist. New to the art scene, her pastels have shown at the Lyme Art Association, the Connecticut Pastel Society Exhibits, Maple and Main Gallery, Mystic Museum of Art, and the Essex Art Association. Awards so far in 2019 have included the Gantner Gallery award at Essex Art Association, The pastel award at the 63rd Regional Art Show at Mystic Art Association, CPS award at the Connecticut Pastel Association, 3rd place at the Zahn Art Gallery Local Vision, and Best Pastel at the Essex Art Association Spring Juried show.
