Gina Rubin is a ceramic artist living along the shoreline of New England in Waterford, CT. She took an elective throwing class her senior year in college and fell in love with the medium. Gina entered and won first place in the Annual Student Art Show that year. After graduating from the University of Northern Colorado with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Gina pursued a career in business. Gina started throwing clay Summer 2014 and later that Summer was invited to share her pottery at the local Farmers Market. That Fall she started exhibiting her ceramic work at Mystic Museum of Art in Mystic, CT, and Slater Memorial Museum in Norwich, CT. Gina’s work can be found in galleries in CT, Denver, CO and Provincetown, MA. (PTOWN), as well as the Slater Memorial Museum in CT. In 2017 Gina was published in ArtBeat Magazine as a Mercury Rising Artist. In 2018, Gina received the designation of elected artist status from Mystic Museum of Art. She is an Associate Member of Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts. Her work is currently exhibited at Spectrum Gallery in Centerbrook, Connecticut.
