Since the age of four, when Anne painted all over the new garage walls of her parent’s home in Berlin, Connecticut, she knew she was drawn to visual expression. Without formal training through high school, Anne found her own way, formulating her own style.
Throughout Anne’s career in the corporate world, she stowed time away for instruction in various media — sculpting, thrown pottery, Norwegian folk art painting, wood carving, dress design, jewelry design, and interior design.
In 2008, Ann returned to my passion, painting in watercolors, acrylics, latex, and oil. And she began studying with prominent artists such as Eric Aho, Leif Nilsson, Jonathan McPhillips, Ted Mikulski, Joe Nicoricci, David Dunlop, Robert Noreika, Estelle Laschever, and Zbigniew Grzyb. In 2014, she traveled to Farnesi, Italy, to study with William McCarthy at Borgo Rinascimento International School of Art.
She now paints in her studio in South Windsor, Connecticut.
